Head Slap Moments

I woke up this morning and could have slapped my own head. Why you ask? Because it hit me at 34K into my NaNoWriMo, if I was smarter, I would’ve started writing a story that actually had something to do with one of the four series I plan on writing next year. It would’ve at least gotten one of the books off of my list. But, did I? No, not me. I’m writing the first book in a completely different series—Misty River 1: The Calm to my Storm. I’m just going to blame it on the fact that I was excited to be writing again that I didn’t even think through my plans all that well. And, this isn’t even a series I can incorporate into next year’s lot, because all of those ones will eventually cross paths.

I’ve decided which series/books I want to work on in 2022. I’ve chosen 4 series > Brothers McCrieve MC—Mountain Made—Quaide’s Crossing—Rebel Rousers MC. These 4 series all link up in varying ways. So I need to work on them altogether for them to make sense to me at least. I hope they run as smoothly as I’ve planned. This is the first time I’ve written a synopsis for each that I need to follow to make sure all the links work—24 books in total, but that’s not saying more can’t be added later if I decide to add another series into the atmosphere I’m creating. You never know what can happen in the future. The first cab off the rank will be Quaide’s Crossing 1: Saving Grace (main characters Harrison Quaide & Sophie Reeder).

I’ve been working with the advice from some wonderful people, on figuring out how to redistribute/sell my books once I get my rights back from MLRPress. I’ll have to pick and choose which ones to do first, so if you have any preferences let me know. Either here in a comment, or DM me over at Facebook. Because if not then I’ll just pick my favourites to work on.

This year I still plan on finishing The Connelly Chronicles 3: Because of Youwhich I need another 48K, & The Wardens of the Guild 4: Gilded Cages— which I need another 38K. I think I’m on track to get this done. It’ll give me a fresh start for 2022. Okay, I’ll away for now and get my daily quota of writing done. I aim for between 2 & 4K each day to keep me on track.

Time For An Update

open-book-clip-art-1816875Okay, I know everyone is wondering if I’m up to date on everything I have set out to do this year… well the answer is ‘NO’. But, I’ll have caught up by the end of Feb… I have kept up to date mostly in longhand… I just haven’t typed it all up on the computer.
The Lines Of Marsden 4: The Trail Of Red Roses… I am on track, and even wording it so the short offshoot Christmas novella at the end of the year… I feel good about this storyline.
Moon Runners 2: I Won’t Let You Go… I have just over half of this written, but need to go back through and rewrite a whole section as it doesn’t make sense, and I have no idea what it has to do with the story itself… I hate it when that happens.
Lancaster’s Way 3: Pre-loved…This is up to date and all written in longhand. I have no excuse except to say that I have been suffering a bout of bronchitis and hadn’t been on the computer for five days… so the ones in long hand will continue to be written in longhand until I find the time to type everything up.

The Connelly Chronicles 2: Beautiful Goodbyes… This story has been one drama after another. I just can’t get it right. I keep getting close to finishing, then pulling it apart and redoing it all over again ~ frustrating as hell I can tell you.
Still waiting to hear back on Intended Mates 1: Lay Your Body Down… and Wardens Of The Guild 1: The Real You

Today I Am…

open-book-clip-art-1816875Today I’m busy as all get go…  This is what I have to do. I need to  write two synopsis for the stories following Wardens of the Guild 1: The Real You. I have to send it back to the wonderful Faith BB at Pride Publishing.

Today I am also filling in the Cover Art Sheet for Intended Mates 1: Lay Your Body Down and get it back to the ever patient Christie N & Laura B at MLRPress.

I have had a few set backs lately as my knew computer laptop the M Key partially fell off and I had to take it back to where I bought it from and get it fixed… Really hard for me when one of my main characters is called Michael Marsden… not to mention everyone else who starts with an M. luckily today all is working well. you never know how much you use a letter until you. Then once that is done I have to play catch up on all the rest of my writing schedule. I will be glad when the kids are back at school and my time is my own.

EIC/Galley & Other News

(FBP) HH 2 - One Last Kiss GoodbyeThis morning I did the EIC/Galley on Hidden Hearts 2: One Last Kiss Goodbye… I’m about to do a final read through before I send them back to Kathy K at Fireborn… the release date on  1st January 2016 will be upon us before we know it… I will definitely be writing two more stories in this series #3: Going By The Book, & #4: Couples Cover.

I know I have two books to get done for Fireborn as soon as I start my writing schedule for 2016… the will be Moon Runners 2: I Won’t Let You Go… & The Diamond Rose 2: So Pretty On The Outside.

(TEB) TCC 1 - Family ConnectionsI’m running a little behind on The Connelly Chronicles 2: Beautiful Goodbyes… I have emailed the very forgiving Faith BB and let her  know what was going on—though, I did promise to have it done by the 31st… On a brighter note I did the 1st round edits on Wardens of the Guild 1: The Real You and sent them back to Faith BB… I still have to write up synopsis for the three books to follow.

Next year I have a few things planned for Totally Bound/Pride Publishing… at the moment I’m just trying to sort them all out in my head…just to see if they make sense.

End Of Year Updates

B - UDOkay, once again my writing world is running hell-for-leather. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I’m hoping like hell it isn’t the damn train. As everyone knows I’m down to writing my last book—The Connelly Chronicles 2: Beautiful Goodbyes (I’m half way through it actually) and then I got back Day Walkers 1: The Real You… we’ve had a change of series name from Day Walkers to Wardens of the Guild.  So I now have  20 days left to write 60K (which we all know by my NaNoWriMo efforts this year that I can well and truly do).

To be honest, I’m so looking forward for 2015 to be over. I have had a very rough year, and I don’t just mean to do with everything writing (not that anyone wants to hear about all my problems… let’s just say I struggled, but 2016 is looking brighter).

Just in case I don’t make it back here before 2016 I just wanted to let you know at my other blog I am spending the month pimping out other authors… if you get a chance stop by…

Deep Breaths & Calm Down

open-book-clip-art-1816875Nothing is wrong exactly. I’m keeping up with what needs to get done writing wise. My problem is—every time I sit down to write. I have a ton of new story ideas taking up space inside my head… each demanding that I take a time out and write down the basic bones of their stories so that I don’t forget.

I figure once I finally finish The Connelly Chronicles 2: Beautiful Goodbyes I will take the last two weeks of 2015 and write up all my notes on these new stories.

I think the ball is rolling on Intended Mates 1: Lay Your Body Down… I’ve sent in the story title—hopefully contracts will come soon from MLRPress.

I Was Thinking ~ Now Stop Laughing.

So much has been going on inside my head at the moment. I’m dealing with real life and writing… I’m still suffering from insomnia. But the important thing is that I’m still alive…

open-book-clip-art-1816875

Okay I’ve been Working on my last book of 2015 ~ The Connelly Chronicles 2: Beautiful Goodbyes. and in one scene GG says something and it has a whole new spin off series of novellas vying for attention inside my mind.

Let me know your thoughts on spin off series.

Thoughts On NaNoWriMo 2015

crest-05e1a637392425b4d5225780797e5a76I have been doing NaNoWriMo now for 4 years, and I have only failed to complete it once due to a major bout of Ross River Fever. This year I will again be working on two different stories… Somebody Told Me 30K which is my Summer Mystery book for MLRPress and I will Also be working on Day Walkers 1: The Real You 20K (not yet subbed).

I think I’m one of the weird ones who actually like participating in NaNoWriMo as it forces me to concentrate just on my writing, as I practically go for a whole month without social media… I just switch it off.

Besides NaNoWriMo I still have to finish The Connelly Chronicles 2: Beautiful Goodbyes for Totally Bound Publishing. Fingers crossed I’ll get them all finished by December 31st.
